Re-Opening a Tracker Step or Record

There may be times that a user inadvertently complete a step. With proper permissions a user with the token Reopen-Step and Reopen-Approval-Step can uncomplete a step to add a question to an evaluation checklist to a MOC or an action to a Recommendation. The records that can be reopened are a step in the work flow, and a closed record (Completed or Change Request Denied. A Canceled record cannot be reopened.

Reopen a Step in the Workflow that has been Completed

To reopen a step follow the instructions below:

  1. In the record that needs a step reopened, click on the step in the work flow and click the Reopen Icon under Record Options.
  2. The check will be removed from the workflow and the step will be opened to add checklist question or action. Reopen will be removed from the Record Options and the Record Options will revert back to the open step to add new question, select checklists and the complete step will be displayed.

Reopen a Closed Tracker Record

There may be times that a closed record will need to be reopened. To do this follow these instructions:

  1. Go to Search and Report to search for records, check the box Include Closed Records.
  2. Filter the Status as ‘Contains’ and enter one of the following phrases:
  • Completed
  • Change Request Denied
  • Canceled

A list of closed records will be in the grid. Find the record to reopen and click on the link under Reference ID.

Click on the step in the workflow to reopen. To reopen up to evaluation the user must open all steps prior to evaluation.

Once the user has added the necessary question, checklist item or actions the user can again complete the step.
